In Honour of National Volunteers Week Aurora Special Olympics recognizes both past and present Volunteers that unreservedly make themselves available to Coaching or organizing events on behalf of our Athletes. Volunteers have different reason why they contribute to Special Olympics, and Coaches during "Question Bio's" present their own reasons.
Here answers given by our Head Bocce Coach - Chris Suk

Q; What made you get involved with Special O?

Having recently moved into the Aurora area from downtown Toronto, I was looking for ways to get involved in the community and give back. Having played sports all my life, I thought coaching Bocce would be an incredible experience, and I wasn't wrong!

Q;  What do you like most about coaching Special O?

My favourite thing about coaching Special Olympics is seeing the amazing friendships that have developed between the athletes through the program. It has been amazing to coach a sport where the athletes can be very competitive, but they do it with a huge smile on their faces.

We Thank all Volunteers
