Good Luck to Team Canada at the Special Olympics!

Team Canada will represent our country with pride at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games



The 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games taking place from July 25-Aug 2 in Los Angeles

Athletes and Team Coaches representing Team Canada have been training hard and are now ready and on their way to the Games. Our own Nicola McGovern is Head Coach for Golf on Team Canada.  On behalf of all Aurora Special Olympics Teams, Coaches and Volunteers we wish Nicola the very best and success at the Games.

Preview Show and Opening Ceremony

“Countdown to the Special Olympics World Games with Robin Roberts”, a preview of the Games, will air on TSN3, 4 and 5 July 23 at 9:00 p.m. and the Opening Ceremony will be broadcast live on TSN2 and RDS July 25th at 9:00 p.m. Please tune in as this will be a spectacular event with an estimated 80,000 spectators gathered together at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, site of the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games. America’s First Lady, Michelle Obama, will be in attendance with headlining talent Stevie Wonder and Avril Lavigne and appearances by Jimmy Kimmel, Eva Longoria, Lauren Potter, Michael Phelps, Yao Ming, Greg Louganis, Stephanie McMahon and many more.
